As CIO, in the early 2000’s I recognized the need to develop a menu ticket program that would help our long term care membership. The goal was simple, provide our members a simple tray card solution at a low price.

Dietech was a hit from the beginning, but I saw a need to expand the capabilities of the program to include things such as nutritional analysis, bed and tableside ordering and introducing automation. I’m very passionate about time management and saving money. For example, prior to automation, if you had a resident who had their selective menu choices already added and a new diet order came in, you would need to manually review all of those entered choices. Now, our system automatically processes the changes in the background and presents to you the updated menus. This is a huge time and cost savings!
